Rules of Close Quarter Airsoft Battles
Many people are fascinated with military tactics. In fact, there are plenty of games which strive to copy such an environment. Programmes, such as Counter Strike and Metal Gear, allow players to control characters in a war field. However, there are some enthusiasts who prefer to experience another recreation which is closer to the real thing.
Enter airsoft, a team-oriented sport wherein members have to take out the opposing squad. Instead of real bullets, the rifles used are loaded with plastic pellets filled with paint. Even the attire used for the same is very similar to the uniform worn by the military. If you are interested in playing, the following are a few guidelines you need to remember:
- Once you are hit by a pellet, it means you are out of the current game. You should also shout “Hit” to let members know you have already been eliminated. Afterwards, you head to a safe zone and wait for the next one to start. This does not limit to hits from the opposing group. If you happen to be struck by your own team-mate, you are still considered out of the game.
- In case there are disagreements during the game, any member from both factions can call for Parley. At which point, both parties must exit the field in order to reach a consensus
- There should be a designated safe area where players can rest or retreat once they have been eliminated. Since they are no longer part of the game, it will not be counted if one of them gets hit by an opposing member in this zone.
- Both teams should have a base which is marked by flags. The team that is able to secure the enemy’s flag is declared the winner.
